PRIVACY POLICY
This policy explains what personal data Ironlane collects, why, and what you can do about it. "Ironlane", "we" and "us" mean the team behind Ironlane, which you can reach atprivacy@ironlane.app.
1. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR DATA
For coach accounts and the waiting list, we are the controller. For athlete training data, the coach who invited the athlete is the controller and we process that data on the coach's behalf. Athletes with questions about their training data can contact their coach or us.
2. WHAT WE COLLECT
- Account details: name, email, password (stored hashed), language and units.
- Training data: programs, logged sets, weights, RPE, rest times, bodyweight, notes and session comments.
- Videos and photos that athletes or coaches upload.
- Files coaches import, such as Excel programs.
- Billing details for paid plans, handled by our payment provider. We do not store card numbers.
- Technical data: device type, browser, IP address and error logs.
- Waiting list: your email and the information you choose to give.
3. WHY WE USE IT
- To provide the service: programs, logging, progress charts and comments (contract).
- To bill paid plans and meet accounting duties (contract, legal obligation).
- To keep the service secure and fix problems (legitimate interest).
- To email you about launch if you joined the waiting list (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
Bodyweight and notes about pain or injury can count as health data. We process it only to provide the service, and only after the athlete agrees to it when joining.
4. AI FEATURES
Excel import, program drafts and Ask AI send the relevant file, templates or training data to an AI provider to produce a result. The provider processes it on our instructions and does not use it to train its models. AI results are drafts and suggestions; nothing is assigned to an athlete until the coach approves it.
5. WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
We do not sell personal data. We use service providers for hosting, video storage, email, payments and AI processing. Today that is Cloudflare, for hosting, storage and the bot check on our sign-up form; we will add the others here before we start using them. Account and training data is stored in the EU. Where a provider is outside the EU, we use standard contractual clauses.
Athletes' training data is visible to their coach, and to other coaches on the same Team plan.
6. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
We keep account and training data while the account is active. When a coach closes their account, we delete their data and their athletes' data within 30 days, unless the athlete keeps their own account. Billing records are kept as long as the law requires. Waiting-list emails are deleted when you unsubscribe.
7. YOUR RIGHTS
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict how we use it. Most of this can be done in Settings. For anything else, emailprivacy@ironlane.app. You can also complain to your local data protection authority; in Slovenia that is the Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec).
8. COOKIES
We use only the cookies needed to keep you logged in and remember your settings. We do not use advertising cookies.
9. CHANGES
If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we will tell you by email or in the app before the change applies.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These terms apply to everyone who uses Ironlane: coaches, athletes and people on the waiting list. By creating an account you agree to them.
1. THE SERVICE
Ironlane is software for strength coaches to write programs and for their athletes to log training. Athletes join through an invite from a coach.
2. ACCOUNTS
You must be at least 16, or have a parent's or guardian's consent. Keep your login details safe; you are responsible for what happens in your account. Coaches are responsible for inviting only athletes who agree to use Ironlane.
3. TRAINING AND HEALTH
Ironlane does not give training or medical advice. Programs are written or approved by coaches. AI can draft programs and templates, but the coach is responsible for checking them before an athlete uses them. Strength training carries a risk of injury. Train within your ability, use safe equipment and spotters, and see a doctor if you have pain or a health condition.
4. YOUR CONTENT
Programs, logs, videos and files you add stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the service for you. You can export your programs and logs at any time. Do not upload content you do not have the right to share.
5. PLANS AND PAYMENT
Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance, in the currency shown at checkout, including VAT where it applies. You can cancel at any time; the plan stays active until the end of the paid period. We will give at least 30 days' notice of any price change.
6. ACCEPTABLE USE
Do not misuse the service: no attempts to access other people's accounts, no uploading of illegal or harmful content, and no reselling or copying of the software.
7. AVAILABILITY AND LIABILITY
We work to keep Ironlane running and your data safe, but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer.
8. ENDING YOUR ACCOUNT
You can close your account in Settings. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, and will tell you why. What happens to your data is described in theprivacy policy.
9. LAW AND CONTACT
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia. Questions:hello@ironlane.app.
